Ground
was broken on November 8th for the construction of Emmaus Family House
in Haverhill. The Essex Association of the Massachusetts Conference
has committed to raising $60,000 as a missions fundraiser to support
construction of the home, which will provide apartmental living space
for 12 families. Several Essex Association churches are also supporting
the project individually. Above, Harvey Joyner, pastor of the First
Congregational Church, UCC, of Haverhill and chair of the Essex Association
Missions Committee, is third from the left.
