A New Look For the MACUCC

February/March 2006

The Massachusetts Conference is putting a new face forward these days with newly redesigned communication tools that reflect the United Church of Christ ‘branding’ that has been developed as part of the Still Speaking Initiative.

“We have redesigned our web site and letterhead using the red and black colors of the Still Speaking Campaign, as well as a new Conference logo that incorporates the standard United Church of Christ logo,” said Tiffany Vail, Associate for Communication & Technology. "We are also making a much more concerted effort to consistently include our name, logo and mission statement on every newsletter and mailing that goes out of our offices.”

“As we have been saying at the Still Speaking trainings across the Conference over the last 18 months, the Still Speaking Initiative can only be effective if people begin to recognize the United Church of Christ brand,” Vail said. “In order for that to happen, the communication tools at every setting of the denomination – local, regional and national – need to have a consistent look and feel.”

All five area offices and the Conference office in Framingham are now using the same letterhead, and every section of the Conference website now has the same banner across the top.

Local churches looking to work on their own branding efforts can download the necessary graphics and get information on the correct colors to use at: http://stillspeaking.com/resources/logo.htm. Churches can also purchase an Identity Graphics Kit, which includes CDs with customizable letterhead, business card, brochure and other templates by calling United Church Resources at 800-537-3394.
