Thank you. Thank you for being a member of the Massachusetts Conference and thank you for joining us on the journey as we enter into a new conference.

Whether you have shared your words and wisdom as a local church pastor, opened your mind and your heart as a participant in one of our many programs, or contributed your financial support as a church or individual, you have left a deep impression on the Massachusetts Conference. You have nurtured a ministry whose strengths will be carried forward as we join together with the Connecticut and Rhode Island Conferences.

Now is the time to reinforce the value of the work of the Massachusetts Conference and highlight our ministry and mission. In order to support congregations and UCCers today and into the future, I ask for your gift to the annual appeal.

Last year contributions to the annual appeal allowed us to:

  • Bring new life as agents of change by resourcing and networking new ministry initiatives.
  • Form covenant partnerships with the Episcopal Diocese of Western Massachusetts, the New England Synod - ELCA Lutheran, and the Rhode Island and Connecticut Conferences in the submission of a series of grant proposals, including one that resulted in being awarded $1,000,000 from Lilly Endowment Inc.
  • Make God’s love and justice real through white privilege and racial justice trainings.
  • Promote pastoral excellence through Super Saturdays, educational webinars, Clergy Communities of Practice, and clergy coach training.
  • Make disciples of Jesus at the UCC Eastern Regional Youth Event in Pennsylvania attended by youth from Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts.
  • Embrace adaptive and transformative leadership at tri-conference retreats for board and staff.
