Pre-release Screening of James Carroll's Constantine's Sword

On Wednesday, March 5th at 7 p.m., a pre-release screening of JAMES CARROLL’S CONSTANTINE’S SWORD will be shown at the Morse Auditorium at Boston University.  Presented by Cooperative Metropolitan Ministries (CMM) and co-sponsored by numerous interfaith organizations, the event will also feature an opportunity to hear from James Carroll.  His book Constantine’s Sword, telling the long story of Christian anti-Semitism, was published just before September 11, 2001. The film portrays this history of contempt for Jews in the contemporary context of religiously enflamed violence and dangerous new stresses among Christians, Jews, and Muslims. American religiosity is part of the story, too. In order to understand the relationship between religion and violence, the knowledge of history – and of Christian history in relation to Judaism and Islam – is more important than ever. Constantine’s Sword, the documentary, will be released in theaters nationwide in April.

The event is free and open to the public.   Morse Auditorium (BU) is located at 602 Commonwealth Avenue.  Parking is available at the Granby Lot (on the corner of Granby and Commonwealth Ave.) for a fee of $8.00. Street parking is also available.
