Pride was wonderful! On June 14 (Flag Day and the
one-year anniversary of the defeat of the Anti-Marriage Equality amendment), a group of about 40 UCC'ers from over 12 churches showed up decked out in flowered church lady hats, church t-shirts, and full costumes, showing the real rainbow of the UCC. They carried church signs and played rhythm instruments, led by
Rev. Laura Ruth Jarrett, an authentic Batucada Belle drummer. Many thanks to all who marched and the many who enjoyed the Pride Interfaith Worship Service at Old South that morning. Sound like fun? Join us next year!
