Free Webinar: Faith at Home: How to Support Cautiously Christian Parents
Leader: Wendy Claire Barrie
Part of the Alternative Sunday School Series
This webinar will address how clergy and church leaders can support parents as they speak about faith at home with their children. For many parents, religious language is a foreign language. How can parents learn this "second language" and introduce it to their children in simple, meaningful, and concrete ways? How can parents introduce prayer to their children if they do not necessarily believe prayer changes outcomes? How do they approach reading the Bible with their children when their relationship with it is mixed or complicated? These questions and others will be addressed with practical ideas and resources provided to help parents in answering them.
Wendy Claire Barrie is a parent, a Christian educator, and a writer. She lives in Brooklyn, NY, with her husband Phil Fox Rose, her son Peter, and piles of books.
