Panic or Prudence:

What do you think about the "H1N1" (Swine Flu)?

It hit the news like a tidal wave.  And spread fear around the globe based on limited information and lots of emotion.  And many folks are still trying to decide whether to react with Panic (it could get worse in the Fall) or Prudence (let's follow common sense...its just another flu).   Of course, we still don't know what may emerge in the future so information and preparation are always a wise way to go as we minister in our churches and with the people of our congregation and community.

This brush with a pandemic does bring some opportunities to reflect on things we don't normally think about.  That is particularly true as it relates to the impact on our current ministries, our church folk and our potential outreach with our communities.
