Scudder House Renovations underway
To serve as transitional housing
Renovations are underway at Scudder House!
Based on a vote of Annual Meeting in 2004, this long-unused building on the MACUCC’s Framingham property has been leased to the South Middlesex Opportunity Council for use as transitional housing for twelve women in recovery from substance abuse. The expected occupancy date is January 2006.
Members of Plymouth Church, UCC in Framingham, as well as neighbors, are already making plans to help welcome and support the residents.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for ministry in the community in which we do much of our business as a Conference”, said Dawn Hammond, Associate Conference Minister for Policy and Finance, “I’m delighted that the Annual Meeting delegates decided to embrace this project.”
