Seeking Interns for Young Adult Service Communities

1/29/2014

A letter from Rev. Dr. Mary Schaller Blaufuss, UCC Global Sharing of Resources Team Leader (OGHS) and UCC Volunteer Ministries

Young adults of Massachusetts and beyond, ages 21-35:

I am writing to share my excitement with you about the newest host church for the UCC Young Adult Service Communities – one of your own – First Parish Church United of Westford, MA. Great internships are lined up for the right candidate, at Habitat for Humanity or the New England Forestry Foundation. YASC interns serve both in this community agency and part-time in congregational service at the church. First Parish Church is a joint UCC-Unitarian congregation that loves to make everyone feel welcome. Interns live in intentional community with one another and figure out how to live as ‘change-makers’ in the world.

Are you looking for a way to make a positive difference in the church and world? Just YASC! Host churches where you might want to serve also are located in Philadelphia, PA; St. Louis, MO; Carlsbad, CA; and Seattle, WA. February is the month for applications.  Inquire about UCC Young Adult Service Communities today.  Find more info here.

Peace,
Mary
