As testimony to our kinship in Christ and the Covenant that binds us one to another, we list below the names of those ministers known to us who have died recently. At one time or another they served in the Massachusetts Conference of the United Church of Christ.

The Rev. Mr. Robert W. Gardiner

The Rev. Mr. Robert W. Gardiner passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2016 surrounded by his family.  Rev. Gardiner is survived by his wife Lorraine Gardiner.  A Memorial Service for Rev. Gardiner will be at West Parish of Barnstable, 2049 Meetinghouse Way, West Barnstable, MA on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 2:00pm. More details will be posted here when available.

The Rev. Dr. Max L. Stackhouse

The Rev. Dr. Max L. The Rev. Dr. Otis A. Maxfield died with his family, at his home in Gotham, Maine on Tuesday, December 29, 2015.  Dr. Maxfield married E. The Rev. Dr. Robert A. Cruickshank passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 12, 2015.  Dr. Cruickshak majored in Russian History and Psychology at Bob Jones University, received his Master’s Degree in Psychology from Andover Newton School of Theology, and his Doctorate in Ministry from Gordon College Bob served as the Pastor of the Greenwood Union Church in Wakefield, and after retirement continued his ministering to others as a Professor of Psychology for 37 years at Salem State University....

The Rev. Mr. Martin W. Perry, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2015.  Rev. Perry was born and grew up in Middleboro, MA. Mr. Fred Anderson died peacefully on Sunday, May 31, 2015.  He is survived by his wife Alison of 49 1/2 years; their son John and his wife Sarah; son Gregory and his husband Carl; their daughter Susan and one grandson, Kurt Maiser.
