Restorative Justice

Dear Friends:

The Restorative Justice Task Team of the Massachusetts Conference of the United Church of Christ is very pleased to welcome you to these pages of information and resources. We hope these resources will help you in learning more about the important ways we can all be in ministry together in promoting understanding, healing, unity and justice within congregations, schools and communities throughout Massachusetts.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if every congregation within our Massachusetts Conference could find a special way of helping to shape a system that renders justice through restorative and unifying actions that truly build community? For over 12 years, the Restorative Justice Task Team, composed of members of UCC churches, has been striving to promote such actions and efforts within the Massachusetts Conference, and to help empower congregations to be a driving force in the movement for a justice of restoration and promotion of peace and community.

Would you like to learn more about Restorative Justice and the Mass. Conference Restorative Justice Task Team? We want to learn what additional resources could be helpful to you in your efforts to promote restorative justice. We are eager to hear from you.

Grace and Peace,
Michael L. Rich, Chair, Restorative Justice Task Team

Experience a Circle

Invite the MA Conference, UCC Restorative Justice Task Team and the Just Peace Players to lead a Restorative Justice circle and discussion at your church.  Join a circle and see what it’s like to be in the middle of this process. This dynamic program is designed for both youth and adults.

Members from the task team will lead the circle, and the Just Peace Players will participate. You are invited to join us as we experience the power and potential of the restorative justice process.
It is sacred work!

Contact Mike Rich, the chair of the Restorative Justice Task Team, or Fran Bogle, coordinator of the Just Peace Players, for more information. Click for a downloadable flyer.
