These events are for those seminarians who are middlers or seniors and are designed to provide valuable information for navigating the entire Search & Call process within the United Church of Christ. All events are open to anyone within the UCC, regardless of Association or Conference.

Search and Call: Beginning the Process                                                                                             

Date: Friday, November 13, 2009

Time: 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM

Location: Peck Room, Andover Newton Theological School campus

Topics will include: The In-Care and Search Process; Writing a Ministerial Profile to get an Interview; Navigating the UCC Search and Call Network

 

 

Search & Call - Meeting with Search Committees

Date: Friday, February 12, 2010

Time: 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM

Location: Peck Room, Andover Newton Theological School campus

Topics will include: Spiritual Discernment and the Search Process; Reading a Church Profile; Interviewing Skills: How to Answer & What to Ask

 

 

Search & Call - Benefits and Call Agreement

Date: Friday, March 19, 2010

Time: 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM

Location: Peck Room, Andover Newton Theological School campus

Topics will include: Elements of a Pastoral Call Agreement; UCC Health and Pension Benefits

Search & Call: Getting a Good Start

Date: Friday, April 16, 2010

Time: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Location: Peck Room, Andover Newton Theological School campus

Graduating seminarians and those serving in the first 0-18 months of their first call.

General information:

  • All sessions will begin promptly at 9:00 AM with introductions and a time of worship.
  • Breakfast goodies will be available by 8:30 AM.
  • Leaders will include: Associate Conference Ministers of the Massachusetts Conference, UCC as well as representatives of the Pension Boards, and others.
  • All events will take place on the Andover Newton campus – in the Peck Room

Registration details:

  • These 4 events are a total cost of $100 per seminarian which may be paid in full initially or $25 each session. The cost includes all materials and breakfast items (bagels, pastries, fruit, juice, coffee, and tea).
  • Register by completing the registration form found here and sending a check, made payable to MACUCC, as soon as possible, but NO LATER THAN one week prior to the event you wish to attend to: Kris LoFrumento, MACUCC One Badger Road Framingham, MA 01702.
  • It is HIGHLY encouraged that you attend all 4 sessions.
