Seasons of Ministry: The Culminating Chapter Before Retirement

The time before retirement can be an intentional time for cultivating practices and ways of being that will serve you in your culminating chapter of your settled ministry and during “retirement”.

During this seminar, we will explore together how to compose with intention this culminating chapter of your ministry.

  • Which patterns of ministry and life you may need to re-examine and re-negotiate.
  • How to begin to map the “legacy-leaving” issues for you and your congregation.
  • Ways to re-envision your role and identity during this next chapter of your ministry.

This is a day for attending to our soul’s needs during this crucial phase of life and ministry. Please note: This day is designed for those who are looking to retire over the next 1-5 years.

This workshop will be led by Larry Peers. Larry is a Senior Consultant with the Alban Institute and a consultant with the Pastoral Excellence Program of the Massachusetts Conference, UCC. He leads seminars and coaches clergy around the country and from many faith traditions.
