Andover Newton Theological School

Founded in 1807, Andover Newton is the nation’s oldest theological school and its first graduate institution of any kind. From the start, it created the model for theological education followed by virtually all graduate seminaries ever since.

Throughout its remarkable history, Andover Newton has continued to develop new models for ministry and has trained some of the nation’s most innovative and influential leaders. Andover Newton has always been an innovator in response to a diverse and rapidly changing world. Today, the school serves as a dynamic laboratory for religious education and the church of the future.

Andover Newton has historical covenants with the American Baptist Churches USA and the United Church of Christ.


Housing for All of Hyannis, MA operates CHAMP Home, which has served more then 1500 individuals since 1991. Those housed are at-risk individuals, many of whom have mental, physical or emotional disabilities or are trying to overcome  addictions. Over the past 20 years, with no federal or state contracts, CHAMP Homes has grown from one house to four homes and curently serves 45 residents.

City Mission of Boston

The City Mission promotes a just society for all people by uniting communities and transforming individuals through service, education, and advocacy. Our programs help youth and adults achieve their full potential while providing opportunities for congregations and communities to engage in social action and change. This work is supported by the Metropolitan Boston Association of the United Church of Christ, congregations, individuals, and foundations.

Congregational Library

Located in Boston's historic Beacon Hill, the Congregational Library offers an extensive array of contemporary and classic religious material. Our collection includes a wide variety of resources on American religion, New England local and town histories, and three hundred years of records documenting the history of American Congregationalism.

Our reading room, overlooking Boston's famous Granary Burying Ground, is open to visitors from Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Massachusetts Council of Churches

Some day, councils of churches no longer will be necessary because churches will be the one Church of Jesus Christ, united in our diversity. But in the meantime, the Massachusetts Council of Churches is the statewide organization committed fully to the ecumenical vision. 

The Council provides a way that churches in this state can express our unity in Christ as fully and visibly as possible through joint planning, mutual counsel, and common programming.

Massachusetts Woman's Home Missionary Union

The Massachusetts Woman's Home Missionary Union seeks to improve the quality of life for women and children and is committed to being a good steward of the funds entrusted to it by investing prudently and distributing the income wisely.
