The three Associations of the Southeast region of the Massachusetts Conference of the United Church of Christ includes 78 churches, soon to be 79 with a New Church Start proposed for Mashpee on Cape Cod.  Twenty one of the 78 churches are in Barnstable Association, which includes Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard, with another 23 churches in Old Colony Association on the SouthCoast, from Rhode Island to the Cape, and another 34 churches in Pilgrim Association from Quincy in the North to Plymouth in the South.  “Our Still Speaking” God has called many of our historic churches near The Plymouth Rock to new visions, as they are “at the top of their life,” in attendance at worship, church school, membership and most of all vitality and mission.  The New Church Start in Mashpee is revitalizing all as together we think of new traditions, opportunities and challenges of God’s call to begin a new community of faith and mission outreach.
