After an extensive search, Mr. Andrew R. Gustafson ("Andy")
has been named Associate Conference Minister for Stewardship
and Financial Development. Gustafson re-places Ed Hoyt, who
faithfully served as Acting Associate
during the search process.
A lawyer by profession, Gustafson has concentrated his
practice on advocating for handicapped, poor and marginalized
children. He is a cum laude graduate of Boston College Law
School where he earned his Juris Doctor
(J.D.) degree. A member and Moderator of the Townsend Congregational
Church, Gustafson has served on stewardship and diaconate
committees. He has led successful capital
campaigns, building projects and stewardship drives.
Gustafson will provide education and resources that deepen spiritual understanding and en-courage individuals and congregations to grow in generosity. "I look forward to calling members to step forward in faith and discover the new things God is doing in their lives, churches and world," said Gustafson.
The stewardship ministry equips church leaders to faithfully ask for annual, capital and planned gifts and invites congregations to participate generously in Our Church's Wider Mission.
Gustafson can be reached at gustafsona@macucc.org.
