Who is a Young Adult?

Who is a Young Adult? “Anyone between the ages of 18-35, at any life stage: single, married, in a relationship, college age, with children, lifelong UCCer, seeker, and many more,” explains Kris LoFrumento, Program Coordinator for Young Adult Ministries.

The Conference’s Young Adult Ministries Program, under LoFrumento’s leadership, will act as a clearinghouse and central location for tracking various activities of the statewide YA groups. In addition to keeping a schedule of upcoming events (anything from coffeehouses in the community to conferences around the country) and missions and service project opportunities, this department will keep contact information for churches who are using contemporary and alternative services.

Young Adult Ministries will also host events for young adults. “The first event, the Young Adult Fall Gathering,” reports LoFrumento, “is scheduled to be held at the 1620 House on October 30. The agenda includes socializing, having dinner, and decorating pumpkins to donate to the Turning Point Shelter in Framingham, as well as brainstorming ideas for the future of YAs in the conference.”
