"The
kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which one took and
planted in the field. Though it is the smallest of all your
seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants
and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and
perch in its branches."
- Matthew 13:31-32
"How
shall we picture the kingdom of God?...It is like a mustard
seed..." MARK 4: 30-32
“The
mustard seed seems so small and insignificant; but when God
brings it in to its fullness, it is grand!” Luke 13:18-21
The parable of the mustard seed teaches us that from the smallest
of things, we can often experience the greatest gifts. Further
research around the mustard seed yielded information that
the mustard seed is a sturdy as a weed, can take hold anywhere---among
rocks, along putrid ditches, in country gardens, along wooded
paths. No matter where it takes root, it takes over.
