Einstein is quoted as saying: “No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it.” It is one of my favorite quotes. (And though there is no record of Einstein actually saying this, his writings often refer to the concept.)
In this era of extraordinary change we are constantly confronted with a reality: the future church will, in many ways, look and act profoundly differently from the church in which we were raised. It is one of the reasons that the vision of our new ‘Together As One’ conference has included a foundational concept: “We believe God calls us to bring new life as agents of change and so we embrace and encourage adaptive and transformative leadership wherever the Body of Christ is gathered. "
Too soon I have begun seeing ‘Back to School’ ads on TV. While I am not looking forward to the end of summer, I do love the idea of opportunities to be schooled; to discover and learn new ways of ministering to the ministries of Jesus Christ. God has yet more light and truth to reveal. And the Body of Christ depends on us awakening to that revelation.
