Sisters and Brothers in Christ:
I’m inviting you to join me and hundreds of thousands of others on September 21 in NYC as we show our support for national and international governmental action to slow climate change, protect God’s creation, and reduce the pain, suffering and injustice climate change is already causing.
The event is called the People's Climate March (PCM). You may have heard about it already, and you'll definitely hear about it again. Scheduled for September 21st in New York City, this march is shaping up to be the biggest mass mobilization the climate movement has ever seen. Over 600 organizations are pitching in to organize this event, from local labor unions to environmental justice groups to faith groups to international NGOs. Detailed information, including bus travel sign-up can be found here.
To get inspired for the PCM, there’s a special event that's happening on August 22 in Boston. The People's Climate Tour (Boston stop) will be an inspiring night of stories & lessons from local leaders involved with the march planning, as well as a chance to get charged up for the challenge before us. Please share this invitation with your congregation:
