Leader: Deanne Thomsen

Faith Outreach at the Humane Society of the United States engages people of faith on animal protection issues on the premise that religious values call upon us to be kind and merciful to all of God’s creatures. Faith Outreach Manager, Deanne Thomsen, will share ideas on ways to engage your congregation for animals, share some of their free resources and programs, and answer any questions you may have about getting your church involved in anything from collecting pet food for homeless animals to hosting a plant-based potluck, leading a creation care study, showing a screening of Eating Mercifully and much more!

Deanne Thomsen, HSUS Outreach Manager for Faith Outreach, engages people of faith on animal protection issues on the premise that religious values call upon us to act in kind and merciful ways towards all of God’s creation. She pursues partnerships and on-boards and engages volunteers to bring the Faith Outreach message and programs into faith-based communities, schools, churches and organizations nationwide.
