Leader: Kathy Greene Lahey
As teen girls become more independent, they leave behind that parental safety net and must learn to make their own decisions and take charge of their lives. The new book, Taking Flight for Girls Going Places
, instills a safe lifestyle with preventive measures and self-defense strategies that give girls a clearer mind, more confidence, and various options to prepare them for a successful future. As girls and young women learn to assess dangers, minimize risk, and use their voice, they will feel empowered knowing they can be responsible for themselves in every way.
Kathy Greene Lahey, LMSW, AC, has transformed her personal experiences with sexual assault and other gender-based offenses and dedicated her career to empowering females.
