Northeast Spring Meeting at Phoenix Rising:

What We Learned from
the Gas Explosions

Save the Date for the Northeast Spring Meeting:
May 11th at 8:30 a.m.: “Disaster Preparedness 101”

A look at what churches can do before a disaster hits including understanding the spiritual and psychological effects of disaster trauma.

Churches can do a lot of mitigation work to prepare the congregation should a disaster happen.

We will focus on specific issues that various church leaders can initiate that will lessen the trauma impact and increase the likelihood of resiliency. In addition we will spend some time talking about how disasters can change our world view as well as our understanding of the spiritual journey. We will include some practical resources for self care after a disaster happens.
