The South East Area Mission and Justice Committee is partnering with the UCC's "Romero Center for Border Ministries and Strategies," to provide you with a unique interactive experience of the United States border with Mexico. You will see first-hand the terrain, obstacles, and challenges faced by both Border Patrol Agents and migrants from Mexico and Central America.
Learn about:
  • The root causes for migration
  • The journey north from southern Mexico or Central America
  • The legal process of entering the country
  • The people who have crossed the border and their stories
  • The connection between human trafficking and migration
The cost is $675 for the program in San Diego, CA and Tijuana, Mexico. Plane fare and inexpensive lodging (arranged by the Romero Center) are separate and will be arranged.
