Charlaine Apsel

Leader: Scott Bryte

Author Scott Bryte will discuss his book, Tales of the Inner City, a collection of twelve Bible Stories written and illustrated in a style that is a twisted mash up of Alice in Wonderland, Monty Python’s Flying Circus, and Saturday Night Live. Scott will also discuss his work as an artist and liturgical ventriloquist.

Scott Bryte is one of God’s imaginary friends, and is arguably proof that God is running out of ideas. He is a woodcarver, cartoonist, ventriloquist, and painter, who doesn’t seem to understand that the call to show Jesus to the world is meant metaphorically. He cannot think, listen, or focus on anything unless he is also drawing. He is sadly obsessed with sloths, antique cylinder phonographs, and the tiny nation of Liechtenstein. He lives with his gracious and patient wife Kathleen, and has served congregations in and around the Inner City for more than 30 years.

This webinar is available free to members of the Southern New England conferences through a partnership with .
