Mark your calendar today for Edwards Church's annual "Gifts that Give" holiday fair, which is Saturday, Dec. 7, from 1-4 pm in our Edwards Hall building, 39 Edwards Street.
There are a number of things about this fair that make it special:
1. Everything you buy at this fair helps to make our world a better place. There is Fair Trade coffee, tea and chocolates--high quality and delicious, and sourced to ensure that the farmers earn a living wage. There are beautiful international handicrafts, also Fair Trade, so that most of the profit goes to the artisans. There are scarves that go to help A Place to Turn Food Pantry, crafts to support vulnerable neighbors, and more.
2. Back by popular demand, Santa will arrive on an antique fire truck, and will happily pose for pictures. No charge, no standing in line, just fun.
3. This year, there will be a special project table for young people. While you shop, your kids can something special--perhaps an early holiday gift for you! It is sponsored by the Edwards Church Green Team, so it will be sustainable and earth-friendly.
I hope you will be able to join us!
Peace, Debbie Clark
