7:00 – 7:30 PM Eastern
Leader: Roger Hutchison
Join author Roger Hutchison as he talks about his book, My Favorite Color Is Blue, Sometimes: A Journey Through Loss with Art and Color.
The lushly colored picture book guides the reader through different emotions and reactions related to grieving, including shock, tears, anger, and hope. Although a children's picture book by design, it is accessible to people of all ages.
Author and Artist Roger Hutchison is the Director of Christian Formation and Parish Life at his church in Houston, Texas, and the author of “The Painting Table: A Journal of Loss and Joy.” He had the privilege of painting with children who had witnessed the tragic shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, CT. The experience affected him profoundly and convinced him of a vocation to serve those who grieve with his writing and art. He also wrote “Under the Fig Tree: Visual Prayers and Poems for Lent” and his latest book, “Jesus: God Among Us,” was published in February 2018.
