7:00 – 8:00 PM Eastern
Leader: Sharon Ely Pearson
Faith communities have the voice and position to make a difference by providing a safe place for conversation and education on the topic of gun violence. Sometimes talking about tough topics in our churches is difficult, as members run the spectrum on their views and discussion can turn into debate and polarization. Learn how to engage in deep conversation, prayer, and skill building as we focus around four pillars: advocacy, education, liturgy, and pastoral care in relation to issues of violence. These four areas are key avenues that our churches can use to address the culture of violence in our communities. Hear the prophetic voices of faithful individuals and walk away with tools that can help you make a difference in your home, church, and community.
