7:00 – 8:00 PM Eastern
Leader: Kyle Matthew Oliver
Young adulthood is both an exciting and challenging time, especially given the current realities of North American society. Cognitive, cultural, and economic forces are strongly shaping the opportunities young people face during this diverse stage of life—a fact sometimes lost on their often-critical elders. Join us for a conversation about the developmental issues of the 20s and 30s, as well as a survey of practical ministry ideas ranging from the traditional and congregation-based to those designed for the growing spiritual-but-not-religious set.
Kyle Matthew Oliver (@kmoliver) is an Episcopal priest and doctoral student in the Communication, Media, & Learning Technologies Design Program at Teachers College, Columbia University. Previously he served as digital missioner in the Center for the Ministry of Teaching at Virginia Theological Seminary. Kyle curates the website Creative Commons Prayer (prayr.cc), which offers free multimedia prayer prompts to reuse and remix. He is author of the chapter on young adult development in “The Seasons of Adult Faith Formation.”
