Spend a week with youth from the MACUCC in the beautiful Andes Mountains, worshiping and working with teens from the Pentecostal Church of Chile in service to The Shalom Center, a Christian environmental center.
The Shalom Center is a unique location where people gather to learn about peace and care for creation. Through group activities, service, worship and new friendships, people who attend The Shalom Center experience renewed relationships with God, themselves, others, and the natural world. We will also have the opportunity to visit local communities in Chile and stay with families from the Pentecostal Church of Chile.
Space is limited to eight high school students or young adults, plus two adult chaperones. Spanish is helpful but not necessary. Living and working conditions are simple but comfortable in rustic cabins with bunk beds. Participants should be in reasonably good physical condition. Working as part of a team is an important part of this experience.
Applications are now being accepted; space is limited. The cost is approximately $2,300 per person, and includes travel and all meals and accommodations.
