Old South Church hosts interfaith service for Patrick inaugural


Old South Church, UCC, in Boston hosted an interfaith service as part of the activities surrounding Governor Deval Patrick's inauguration on Thursday, Jan. 6.  Patrick and Lt. Governor Timothy Murray lit candles during the service, Patrick's symbolizing hope and Murray's symbolizing service.

Conference Minister and President Jim Antal (seen at the far left in the picture below) was among the participants in the service. Also in this picture (left to right behind the altar table) is Quinn Caldwell, Associate Minister of Old South Church, and Brent Damrow, Acting Executive Assistant Minister to Old South Pastor Nancy Taylor and part time interim Associate Pastor of the United Parish of Brookline. At the far right is June Cooper, Executive Director of the UCC-related City Mission Society.
