Public Invited to Hear Valarie Kaur on Nov. 2

10/24/2019

The Southern New England Conferences are inviting the general public to come hear Annual Meeting Keynote Speaker Valarie Kaur at the DCU Center in Worcester on Nov. 2 from 10:30 AM to noon.

Kaur, founder of the Revolutionary Love Project, is a Sikh racial justice activist, civil rights lawyer, award-winning filmmaker, educator and author of Revolutionary Love. Kaur sees love as a public ethic and shared practice to be used in the fight for social justice. She believes “the way we make change is just as important as the change we make.”  (Read more about her here.)

The cost to attend the keynote is $10. Tickets can be purchased in advance here with a credit card, or admission may be paid in cash only at the door.

People are invited to come to the DCU Center prior to the address to visit the Annual Meeting Marketplace. Plenary hall doors will open to keynote ticket holders at 10:10 AM. There will be a designated seating area for those attending just the speech.

Purchase advance tickets here.

The Center for American Progress named Kaur “a standout figure in the world of interfaith organizing and activism.”
