As testimony to our kinship in Christ and the Covenant that binds us one to another, we list below the names of those ministers known to us who have died recently. At one time or another they served in the Massachusetts Conference of the United Church of Christ.

The Reverend Dr. Arthur Bowler, Sr., retired pastor of First Congregational Church, Randolph died Christmas morning after an extended illness. The Rev. Nancy Bush died at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 3 in Worcester, MA. A retired pastor, she received her ordination in 1950 and served for 67 years. The Rev. Gordon Tate of Petersham, MA died on March 17, 2008. In 1943, he became the Pastor of the Lakeview Congregational Church in Waltham. While there, he was the chaplain at the Walter E. Fernald School in Waltham and Templeton for 31 years. In 1970, he became pastor of the Petersham Orthodox Congregational Church, where he was Pastor for 16 years, retiring in 1986.
