The Rev. Mr. Peter V. Marsden

The Rev. Mr. Peter V. Marsden, 72, died peacefully in hospice care on Saturday, July 6, of complications from a stroke.

Although Rev. Marsden had spent the last nine years living in Lititz, PA, with his loving wife, Cheryl Krull Marsden, they were long-time residents of New England. Peter was raised in Spencer, MA, and attended David Prouty High School, Clark University, Bentley University, and Gordon Theological Seminary.  After initially pursuing a career as an accountant, Peter found his calling and became an ordained Congregational minister, spending the next thirty-plus years serving churches in several New England towns: Hampton, Thomaston, Warren, and Woodbury, CT; Springfield, VT; and West Brookfield, MA.  Peter worked for another decade as an interim pastor in York Beach and Harpswell, ME; Sturbridge, MA; and Annville, Adamstown, and Mount Joy, PA.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 13th, at 3 p.m. at the Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church in Lititz, PA.
